All parents are concerned about the recent murders on school campuses across our nation. This presentation would discuss ways to teach our children to express their anger and frustrations in acceptable, safe ways.

Participants will be introduced to the "Sandwich Generation Member's Bill of Rights." They will learn how to understand their situation's unique dynamics, set priorities, learn when and how to get help, and explore various options for caring for infirm patients. Concrete ways of easing the stress of caring for aging parents, tending to children, maintaining a good marriage, and making a living at the same time will be explored.

As people age, it is important for them to maintain and maximize their quality of life. Important components of successful aging include having a purpose, feeling useful, and engaging in activities that give one's life meaning. Successful aging workshops explore concrete ways to continue to maintain interests and friendships as well as explore new possibilities - in spite of changes that may include decrease mobility, the loss of regular contact with friends who have may have become "snowbirds" or moved out of town to live closer to their adult children, the illness or death of a spouse, and deceased mobility.
